It's time for my picks for this week.

I heard a rumor about this big game in Moniteau or something. I hear the Warriors will play Karns City for the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference lead. Sounds important.

Maybe I will be there. It's a big game and I'm kind of a big deal, sitting at 53-14 on the season after another stellar 9-2 week.

So, on to the picks before someone else tries to ice me with a timeout.

Karns City 24, Moniteau 19 — This rivalry makes the Civil War look like a friendly scuffle.Both teams are perfect in the KSAC. Both teams love nothing more than beating the pigskin out of each other and both teams will be as fired up as Michael Irvin and Jerry Jones in an Orchard Park luxury suite.But I will not change the stance I've had all season about Karns City. In a big game, I go with Gremlins coach Ed Conto.Moniteau is a staunch adversary, and the Warriors' spread offense might give the Gremlins some fits, but I can't go against KC.Some friendly advice: get there early and buy a 50-50 ticket. It might be worth more than the gross national product of Democratic Republic of the Congo.•

North Hills 26, Butler 15 — You have to feel for the Golden Tornado. North Hills is down and this game is definitely winnable, but Butler will remain winless.•

Erie McDowell 26, Seneca Valley 20 — The Raiders broke their 26-game section losing streak last week against North Hills. They will challenge McDowell, but the winning "streak" will end at one.•

Knoch 33, Laurel Highlands 8 — The Knights have become, dare I say, a jugger-Knoch.•

Mars 43, Neshannock 12 — The only outcome in question here is whether or not running back Billy Bair will crack 300 yards.•

Titusville 29, Slippery Rock 12 — The Rockets — the ones from SlipperyRock, not Titusville — are playing in a big game in October for the first time in several seasons.The Rockets — the ones from Titusville — are loaded, though. SlipperyRock will make it a game, but aren't quite at this level — yet.•

Freeport 26, Deer Lakes 12 — Is there anyone doing a better job than Yellowjackets coach Bill Dillen?•

Lakeview 24, Union 11 — The Golden Knights picked up their first win of the season last week. This one will be close, but Union will still be in search of win No. 2.•

Redbank Valley 44, A-C Valley 8 — In the battle of the Valleys, pick Redbank.•

Grove City 20, Sharon 13 — If the Eagles could convince themselves it is the second half from the opening kickoff, they would be unbeatable.•

Summit Academy 34, Shenango 20 — LaRon Green has been downright Tom Bradyesque for Summit. Notch another win for LaRon and the Knights.Scoop cannot be iced by anyone.
