4 p.m. Monday — William H. Anderson, 43, of Butler was charged with defiant trespass and scattering rubbish at Heasley’s Nursery in Summit Township.

5 a.m. Thursday — Between midnight and 5 a.m. Thursday, an unknown person committed theft and criminal mischief at the rest area at mile marker 135 on Interstate 79 South. The person damaged the money slot on a vending machine and stole $142 from the cash box.
4:25 a.m. Thursday — Levi Rockne Barber, 32, of Sandy Lake Township, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment following an incident at a residence at 3038 Sandy Lake-Grove City Road.
Barber allegedly assaulted Rene Estelle Mowry, 41, of Sandy Lake. Police allege he slammed her head against a door breaking the glass, and then slashed her hand with a knife and fled on foot. Barber could not be found. A warrant for his arrest has been obtained. Police said anyone who has seen him should call 911.
8:03 p.m. Jan. 22 — Police said two men robbed the County Market at 49 Pine Grove Square in Pine Township. Police said they asked for change and ended up shortchanging the clerk $380. Police described one man as having a Russian accent and the other an Asian accent.
