Union puts clamps on Gators
Union outscored Port Allegany by 19 points in the second half and rolled to a 49-31 victory in a District 9 first-round girls basketball playoff game in Rimersburg Tuesday night.
Dominika Logue scored 14 points and Keira Croyle added 12 for the Damsels (14-7), who will travel to third-seeded Otto-Eldred for a quarterfinal showdown Thursday.

Butler closed its regular season Monday night with a 4-3 shootout loss to South Fayette. Brody Simko scored two goals for the Golden Tornado while Parker Worsley had a goal and assist. Kyle Grasha, Owen Denny and Grant Holt all had assists.
Grasha scored a goal in the shootout, but South Fayette scored twice for the win. Butler can make the PIHL playoffs if Montour loses one of its two remaining games.
