Hazardous waste event set Saturday

CRANBERRY TWP — Township residents can get a jump on spring cleaning by getting rid of hazardous materials Saturday.

Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the township public works building, 10729 Route 19, residents can discard items not permitted in the regular trash, including electronics, paint, light bulbs and propane tanks.

Those interested must register ahead of the event at https://www.ecsr.net.

The price list includes:

- TVs, monitors, printers and computer towers: 60¢/lb.

- All other electronics: 40¢/lb.

- Small freon-containing devices: 70¢/lb.

- Paint: 63¢/lb.

- Household hazardous waste: $1/lb.

- Universal waste (bulbs and batteries): 75¢/lb.

- Propane tanks: $4/ea.

Items such as explosives, fire extinguishers, ammunition, tires, medical waste and large appliances will not be accepted.
