The little structure, now unnecessary, is original to the building and displays graffiti and signatures left there over the years. At a news conference Wednesday, June 28, 2017, state police Lt. Eric Hermick said Kasey Rose Dischman, 30, of Butler was charged with aggravated assault on an unborn child. Hermick said in an interview this incident was the first instance in which an overdosed mother could be charged with regards to her unborn child’s health. Dischman overdosed on heroin while seven months pregnant, prosecutors said. The baby, delivered by cesarean section, was last reported in critical condition on life support.Justin Guido/Butler Eagle
