Butler County Commissioners at the meeting Wednesday:
- Approved new rates for consultations on Protective Services cases with PBS Mental Health Associates. The firm will charge $500 per case for psychiatric evaluation or a court appearance, $150 per case for testimony over the telephone or affidavit preparation, and $750 per psychiatric evaluation with a home visit. Brandon Savochka, the county director of human services, said while the increases appear significant, the last contract was in May 2014. No built-in increases are included in the contract. Payments for services will be made from the Aging Block Grant, meaning no county funds will be involved.
- Approved a 2% increase for Cambridge Home Health Care for personal care, which will now be $25.27 per hour, and home support at $24.87 per hour for basic care and $28.31 for intermediate care. The rates expire June 30, 2022. The rates will be paid through the Aging Block Grant and do not involved county funds.
- Renewed a contract with Esri of Redlands, Calif., for geographic information system software maintenance for four county departments. The county will pay a total of $12,600 to maintain the GIS software for the mapping, information technologies, emergency services and assessment departments. The contract’s one-year term will begin Feb. 6.
- Approved the 2021 calendar of county commissioners meetings. The meetings will continue to be held at 10 a.m. every other Wednesday at the County Government Center. The dates of each meeting are available at butlercountypa.gov.
