Butler Police6 p.m. Thursday — A Butler man faces charges of causing damage to attended vehicles, driving a vehicle with an expired registration and not having insurance after crashing into three cars and attempting to flee the scene.Douglas W. Morin Jr., 25, of Butler was driving on Main Street and turned onto Wayne Street where he hit the driver’s side of a stopped car driven by Michael Dunbar, 57, of Pittsburgh.Morin continued on, hitting a vehicle driven by Justin Zelekovitz, 25, of Pittsburgh.He then hit the front of a vehicle driven by Dale Hutchinson, 46, of Chicora.Hutchinson initially called police. He then started yelling at Morin as the driver attempted to flee, ultimately reaching into Morin’s car to shut it off and take the keys.Morin told police officers his contact lens fell out and he was trying to back away to find a place to park following the accident.The other drivers involved and a witness told police he was definitely attempting to flee the scene.Morin’s car had an expired registration and no insurance.

Butler Township Police4:33 p.m. Thursday — A two-vehicle accident occurred at the entrance to Moraine Pointe Plaza.A car driven by Whitney Angeloni, 23, of Renfrew struck the side of a car driven by George Federkeil, 57, of New Castle when she was pulling out of the plaza onto Eberhart Road.10:45 p.m. June 12 — Two men were charged with criminal mischief after they poured diesel supplement on clothing and shoes in Wal-Mart.Daniel Leech, 20, of Butler, and Robert Leech, 20, of Chicora, caused an estimated $3,800 worth of damage.

State Police, Butler11:40 a.m. Thursday — A tractor-trailer crashed into the back of a stopped car on the exit ramp to Route 422 off Interstate 79. Harry S. Jackson, 83, of Trafford suddenly stopped his car in the middle of the exit lane, causing the tractor-trailer, driven by Willie L. Miles Jr., 49, of Newport News, Va., to hit the back of the vehicle.Jackson was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and was cited for a lane violation.

State Police, Mercer1:40 p.m. Thursday — A three-car accident occurred at a construction site going east on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township.Danielle Mostachetti, 23, of Pittsburgh, crashed her car into the back of a car driven by Marsha Bodus, 37, of Lachine, Mich., as Bodus was slowing down for stopped traffic at a construction site.The impact forced Bodus’ car into the back of an already stopped Jeep driven by Erin O’Neil, 23, of Titusville.Thursday — Wesex Corporation of West Middlesex reported several items were stolen from construction storage containers that were broken into at 2083 Leesburg Grove City Road in Springfield Township Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
