Sam and Shirley Lyon

Sam and Shirley Lyon of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner and a trip to the Smoky Mountains.

Lyon married the former Shirley Shever Oct. 15, 1965, at Grace Lutheran Church in Butler.

They have two children, Tim (Renee) Lyon of Butler and Debbie (Jeff) Fugh of Pittsburgh.

They also have five grandsons.

Lyon retired from AK Steel.Mrs. Lyon is a housewife.The Lyons are members of St. John's Reformed Church and BUCO Travel Trailer Club.Lyon also is a member of Syria Shrine.Mrs. Lyon is a member of Bouquet Bowling League.
