BC3 earns 2nd win

Jake Anderson's triple-double (23 points, 18 rebounds, 10 blocks) led the Butler County Community College men's basketball team to a 91-74 win at Pitt-Titusville on Wednesday.

Austin Miller scored 35 points for the Pioneers (2-14, 2-1) and Ken Snead had 19 points and 11 boards.

Clarion 62, Slippery Rock 49 — The Rock committed 29 turnovers in dropping its fourth straight game.

SRU led 25-20 at halftime, but the Golden Eagles owned the second half. In the final 20 minutes, SRU attempted just 21 shots from the field and was a dismal 6-of-14 from the free throw line.

Chaquille Pratt scored 18 points for The Rock (8-9, 3-8).

Women's Basketball

Julia Baxter (21 points), Saydie Moore (17) and Alycia Brehm (11) all reached double digits as BC3 crushed Pitt-Titusville 72-46.

Christina Davis added 16 rebounds and 10 assists and Baxter pulled down 11 boards for the Pioneers (10-6, 2-0).

Slippery Rock 71, Clarion 58 — SRU improved to 5-6 in PSAC-West play (8-8 overall) by thumping host Clarion 71-58.

Three Rock players reached double figures in points, led by Ciara Patterson's 20.

Krista Pietropola added 15 points and Megan Hardiman 10 points and 10 rebounds for The Rock, which led 61-37 after three quarters.
