SRU women win at Gannon
Junior guard Lexi Carpenter scored eight of her game-high 24 points in overtime to lead Slippery Rock University's women's basketball team to a 72-65 victory over PSAC-West rival Gannon University at the Hammermill Center on Saturday.
Carpenter added six rebounds and three assists for The Rock (10-9, 7-7), which trailed by five points at halftime before a 19-10 run in the third quarter gave SRU crucial momentum.
Audrey Stapleton scored 14 points in the win and Ciara Patterson added 11.

SRU led by eight points with 6:18 to play before Gannon closed the game on a 21-8 run, handing The Rock a 71-66 PSAC-West defeat.
Cornelius Brown paced SRU (10-10, 5-9) with 17 points while Abdul King (12) and Malcolm Richardson (11) also reached double digits.
