A Sept. 17 wedding is now being planned by Melinda Snyder of Valencia and Benjamen Furnish of Middletown, Ind.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of William and Susan Snyder of Valencia. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Terry and Melonie Furnish and Judy Furnish, all of Middletown.

The bride-elect is a 1993 graduate of Mars High School. She graduated from Clarion University in 1998 with a degree in elementary and special education and from Duquesne University in 2004 with a master's degree in instructional technology. She is employed with the Mars School District in Mars.

Her fiancé is a 1995 graduate of Shenandoah High School and a 2000 graduate of Purdue University, where he studied mechanical engineering. He is employed at Parker Hannifin in Cleveland.
