Redbank Valley's Craig Hibell struck out nine and limited Moniteau to four hits in the host Bulldogs' 9-1 victory in the District 9 Class AA semifinals Thursday.

Mike Booher had a single, a triple and four RBI, and Jon Brothers had three hits for the Bulldogs (15-1), who were the No. 1 seed.

Andy Colwell and Kasey Haines had two hits apiece for the Bulldogs, who will face Brookville, a 5-4 winner over Cranberry, in the district championship game.

Nick Morrow had a double and a single, while Joe Steiner and Zack Wheeler each singled for Moniteau (8-8).

Girls Lacrosse

Quaker Valley 7, Seneca Valley 5 — Shannon Quail scored three goals and Lindsay Flavion had two, but the Raiders (15-3) saw their season come to an end with a WPIAL quarterfinal playoff loss.
