Knoch's Jessica Gross returns a volley Monday in the Knights' 3-0 win over Valley.

Butler's Antonio Baroffio and Seneca Valley's Matt Vogt (each with a 72) and SV's Connor McCaffrey (73) and Andrew Tang (79) all made the cut at the WPIAL Section 3 Qualifier, Monday at Sylvan Heights Golf Course in New Castle.

They advance to next Monday's WPIAL semifinals at Buffalo Golf Course.

Butler's Andrew Shakely shot an 80 and was tied for the final qualifying spot with Pine-Richland's David Owens, but the latter won a four-hole playoff.

Shakely will serve as an alternate.

Jeff Tracy shot a 77 and Nick Cress had a 78 to lead Slippery Rock to a fourth-place finish in the last megamatch of the season.
