Nate King's fourth-place time of 16 minutes, 35 seconds helped the Slippery Rock High School boys cross country capture first place at the Cochranton Invitational on Saturday.

There were 20 District 10 schools at the event.

Owen Bowser also finished in the top 10, placing 10th at 17:06.

Slippery Rock's Jackson Udy (16th), Jacob Spurk (20th) and Dan Hartzell (25th) all finished in the top 25.

Slippery Rock's girls finished ninth out of 20 teams and were led by Andrea Shaffer's 14th-place time of 20:40.

The Rockets will visit Titusville on Tuesday.
