Gremlins edge Redbank
Chris Harmon and Aaron McGarvey scored goals within two minutes of each other early in the second half to give the Karns City boys soccer team a 2-0 win over KSAC rival Redbank Valley Monday.
Goalie Josh Grenninger had seven saves for the Gremlins (13-1, 13-0).
Butler 2, Bethel Park 1 —Jake Gamble scored the game-winning goal with five minutes left in double overtime Saturday as the Tornado stunned the previously undefeated Black Hawks.Alex Krouse assisted on the goal. The Golden Tornado's goal in regulation was scored by Jake Huey, assisted by Gamble.Zeke O'Donnell made several saves for Butler (11-3-4).Bethel Park entered the game with a 15-0 record, outscoring its opposition 106 to 9, with 10 shutouts.
Slippery Rock 12, Sharpsville 1 — Scoring goals for the Rockets (11-1-1) were Ryan Gercken (3), Wes Craig (3), Mike Ramirez (2), Neil Smith, Ryan Hyatt, David Caldwell and Max Glinsky.Craig and Gercken each added two assists while goaltenders Abir Chatterjee and Mike Flecker shared the win.
