The Slippery Rock High football team stayed close to undefeated Titusville for three quarters Friday night before succumbing by a 34-7 count.

The Rockets (3-4) trailed only 14-7 entering the fourth quarter., but Derek Carr had 20 carries for 152 yards and two touchdowns for the winners.

The game was even at seven before Carr scored on a 57-yard run in the second quarter. He added a 10-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter as Titusville (6-0) scored three touchdowns in the final quarter.

Zack Ejzak caught five passes for 99 yards and Ryan Ferguson added 73 yards rushing for Slippery Rock.

Redbank Valley 47, A-CValley 12 — The Bulldogs (6-1) built a 47-0 lead by midway through the third quarter before winless A-CValley scored a pair of late touchdowns.Alex Bladel rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns while Larry Smith threw three TDpasses for Redbank.Luke Walker threw a touchdown pass to Mike Orrvick and scored on a 2-yard run for the Falcons.

Lakeview 33, Union 7 — Freshman Lucas Reddick scored three touchdowns — two on passes, one on an interception return — for Lakeview (4-3) and the Sailors scored 26 points in the second quarter to pull away.Thomas Miller rushed for 175 yards on 34 carries and returned a punt 66 yards for a touchdown.Union (1-6) scored on a 57-yard pass from Matt Gagliano to A.J. Etheriedge. Gagliano threw for 153 yards. Drew Logue had 13 tackles for the Golden Knights with Dillon Heasley adding 11.

<B>Slippery Rock 5, Hickory 1 — </B>The Rockets (11-0-1) received two goals and two assists from Melanie Prelec and two goals and one assist from Sarah Cessar. Elissa McCune added a goal and an assist.Kelsey Powell had an assist for Slippery Rock, and goalkeeper Ali Doyle had five saves.
