An Aug. 6 wedding is being planned by Christi Rettig and Chris Eckel, both of Butler.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gerald and Carol Rettig of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Siebert and Claudia Eckel of Evington, Va.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Butler High School and is a student at Penn State University.

Her fiancé attended Rustburg High School. He works for Castcon Stone in Saxonburg.
