An Aug. 19 wedding is being planned by Kelly Hiser of Butler and Stephen Ball of Uniontown.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jonathan and Mary Ann Hiser of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Darla Ball of Uniontown and the late John Ball.

The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and a 2005 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She works at Boscov's in Center Township and as a piano instructor.

Her fiancé graduated in 1991 from Laurel Highlands High School. A current student at Slippery Rock University, he works for the Pittsburgh Opera.
