Knoch overcomes Latrobe

Rob Briggs scored 22 points and the Knoch boys basketball team overcame a barrage of 3-pointers by Latrobe in a 73-70 home win Wednesday night.

Briggs led four Knights in double digits, as Kyle Reiser added 18 points, Jake McTighe had 17 and Michael Gallagher had 14 for Knoch (8-8).

Latrobe stayed in the game thanks to its prowess beyond the arc. It hit nine 3-pointers in the game but was outscored 21-11 in the final quarter by Knoch.
