A Dec. 10 wedding is being planned by Melissa Ballard and Eric Shiever, both of Renfrew.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Richard and Rosemary Ballard of Renfrew. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Harry and Nancy Shiever of Renfrew.

The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2001 graduate of Slippery Rock University, earning a bachelor of science in social work. She works for the Butler County Children and Youth Agency in Butler.

Her fiancé is a 1988 graduate of Butler High School and a 1992 graduate of Colorado State University, earning a bachelor of arts degree in business administration. He works for Butler Farm Market in Butler.
