Gremlins boys run past Clarion, Redbank

Mars senior Michael Sybert finished second in the triple jump Tuesday to help the Planets boys beat Riverview 88-62

Aaron McGarvey had his legs in four winning events as the Karns City boys track and field team ran its consecutive meet winning streak to 77 with a 92-58 win over Clarion and an 87-63 triumph over Redbank Valley Wednesday.

In the girls meet, Karns City defeated Clarion 99-55 and Redbank Valley 85-65 in a battle of unbeatens.

Nicole Harmon won the 1,600 and 3,200 and anchored the winning 3,200 relay. Amber Saunders won the high and triple jumps for the Gremlins.

• Mike Himes won the 110 hurdles, and the long and triple jumps, but A-C Valley fell to North Clarion 79-70 and to Clarion-Limestone 78Z\x-69Z\x.

In the girls meet, Erika Rothen captured the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles and the 200 to lead the Falcons to a 90Z\x-58Z\x victory over North Clarion and a 88-62 win over Clarion-Limestone.

• On Tuesday, the Moniteau girls squad defeated Union 81-69 and Keystone 76-69 while the Mars boys team defeated Riverview 88-62 and the girls team also won 83-67.
