Evelyn and Richard McClaine

Richard J. and Evelyn M. McClaine of Butler celebrated 70 years of marriage with a family dinner.

McClaine married the former Evelyn Mae Callihan on Aug. 24, 1946, at St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church in East Brady.

They have four children, Mary Kay Werth of Amherst, Ohio, Constance Anne Sawford of Butler, the late Richard James Jr. and the late Donald Leo.

They also have 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

McClaine was a math and science teacher for two years and worked for West Penn Power for 37 years.

He has been a member of AA for 50 years.

Mrs. McClaine, was assistant manager at Kinney’s Shoe for 17 years.

The McClaines are members of Saint Fidelis Roman Catholic Church.
