Butler's Jake Gamble scored a goal and Aaron Voelker managed a shutout in net as the Golden Tornado pulled out a 1-0 win over host Seneca Valley (5-4, 3-2) in high school boys soccer play on Saturday.

The win gives Butler (3-4-3, 3-0-2) sole possession of first place in Section 2-AAA.

Mars 1, Knoch 1 — This clash of Section 2-AA heavyweights saw Mike Page score for Mars (7-1-1, 4-1-1), while Klaus Ondrizek netted a goal for the Knights.The Planets' Joe Haefner had 12 saves in net, while Cullen Hinderliter stopped 10 shots for Knoch (6-0-1, 5-0-1).

Slippery Rock 5, Sharon 1 —Mike Ramirez netted two goals and Brandon Zarichnak had three assists for the Rockets (6-0-1).The team also received one goal and one assist from Dustin Hribal, one goal apiece from Braden Sloan and Jack Cravner, a pair of assists from Daniel Jeon and one assist courtesy of Mike Flecker.

<B>North Allegheny 1, Butler 0 — </B>The host Tigers scored the game's lone goal with 17 minutes left in the second half.Butler freshman goalkeeper Taylor Troyan tallied eight saves for the Golden Tornado (3-4-1, 3-2-1).

Mars' Resa Nelson shot an 84 to place fifth at the recent Midwestern Athletic Conference Tournament.The Planets, who placed third as a team (276) in the 18-hole event, also saw Alexa Glew and Kayla Finney tie for tenth place with 96 strokes.
