Mars girls romp to 50-point win

Lily Grenci recorded 31 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Mars girls basketball team to a 76-26 Section 1-AAA rout of Valley Thursday.

The Planets (17-3, 10-1) took a 40-12 lead at the break and limited the Vikings to single digits in all four quarters.

Mars, which won its 11th consecutive road game, also received 13 points and eight rebounds from Kehle Pelles, eight rebounds from Elaine Hasek and six assists from Alexa Lee.
