Eric Tuck (119), Cole Baxter (145/152), Dakoda Collins (145/152), Chris White (189) and Marino Quercio (215) each went 5-0 as the Butler wrestling team won all five of its matches at the Fox Chapel Duals on Saturday.

Butler, however, finished second due to the tiebreaking criteria for fewest unsportsmanlike conduct calls committed.

The Tornado defeated North Hills 49-23, Pine-Richland 66-9, Shaler 78-0, McGuffey 63-18 and Franklin Regional 40-27.

(Franklin Regional) was the one I was looking at," said Butler coach Scott Stoner. "That's why we wanted to go there. We've wrestled everyone pretty much right above us.

"I watched Franklin Regional wrestle and their kids were physical. I didn't know if we'd be able to compete with them, but we went out and went at them. It was one of those times where the team rises to the occasion,"Stoner added.

Brandon Bauer (103), Dillon Weston (135) and Mike Crawford (140) went 4-0 and Cody Hartman (130) and Alex Truman (285) went 4-1.

Quercio finished with three pins while Weston, Baxter, Collins and White recorded two pins apiece. Baxter stayed undefeated this season, improving to 33-0.

Butler will host Waynesburg on Wednesday, where seniors Hays, Quercio and Truman will be honored.
