Rocket hurler whiffs 15; Martin gets two-hitter

Slippery Rock High School softball pitcher Morgan Robinson has been unhittable for much of the season.

Saturday afternoon, she was perfect.

Robinson struck out 15 in twirling her first career perfect game in a 2-0 win over Clarion.

Robinson also singled.

In the season opener, Robinson tossed a no-hitter for the Rockets (5-1).

In five outings this season, Robinson has fanned 61 batters in 35 innings pitched.

The Slippery Rock boys and girls track teams each placed second at the Hermitage Invitational Saturday.Angela Shaffer won the 100-meter hurdles witha time of 15.73 seconds and also placed second in the high jump (5-foot-2) and fourth in the long jump (15-10¼).Elissa McCune also captured the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 48.67.
