Grove City pitcher Chelsea Filer outdueled Slippery Rock's Morgan Robinson to lead the Eagles to a 1-0 softball win over the Rockets Tuesday.

Filer struck out 11 and gave up three hits in seven innings.

Robinson was just as good, scattering five hits and striking out six in seven innings. The only run she gave up was unearned when Felicia King scored on an error.

King had two hits, including a double, for Grove City (7-6).

Jamie Myers had two hits for Slippery Rock (8-6, 7-6).

Elsewhere:

• Erin Larimore had three hits, including a double, and two RBI as A-C Valley did all of its damage early in a 7-5 win over Redbank Valley.

The Falcons (10-4, 6-3) scored all seven runs in the first two innings.

Karly Kaufman picked up the win and had two doubles.
