Sam Kerlin had seven kills, and Katie Quail had 10 service points and 20 assists for the Falcons (6-0, 4-0), who also won the junior varsity match 25-13, 25-23.

Butler 3, New Castle 0 — Stephanie Girdano had 18 assists and two aces as the Golden Tornado (5-1, 4-1) routed New Castle 25-6, 25-4, 25-10.Butler's junior varsity team also won in a sweep.

The Butler girls team suffered its first defeat of the season in a 25-30 loss to North Hills Wednesday, although the Tornado (4-1) did beat Knoch 18-43. North Hills also downed the Knights 17-38.In the boys race, North Hills defeated Butler 21-34 but the Tornado (3-2) earned a split with a 23-36 triumph over Knoch.
