Grove City was shut out for three quarters Friday night as Greenville cruised to a 38-7 high school football victory.

The Trojans (4-1) had a 31-0 lead by halftime, 21-0 after the first quarter.

R.J. Malson scored three touchdowns for the winners, including a 66-yard run.

The Trojans' lead reached 38-0 in the third quarter when David Holiga launched a 52-yard touchdown pass to Nate Houpt.

Grove City (3-2) scored its lone touchdown in the final quarter on Brady Beach's 22-yard run.

Dylan Zuschlag led Greenville with 88 yards on six carries while Malson had 14 carries for 80 yards.

Jamarr Patterson had nine carries for 62 yards and Nate Reddick had six carries for 57 yards for Grove City.

Punxsutawney 40, A-C Valley 0 — The Falcons dropped their 36th consecutive game as the Chucks scored all of their points in the first half.Logan Weaver threw four touchdown passes for Punxsutawney. Ben Blazavich scored on a 43-yard run and a 16-yard pass reception.

Boys SoccerGrove City 5, Mercer 0 — Brian Murone had a goal and an assist for the Eagles (8-1), while A.J. Motta, Caleb Ritenour, Jeff Hershberger and Bob McKnight also scored. Goalkeeper Nate Liddick had two saves Thursday.
