Karly Rhoads tallied 23 points and Kourtney Rhoads added 15 more to power the Slippery Rock girls basketball team to a 58-42 victory over host Franklin Thursday.
The Rockets (8-1, 2-0) raced out to a 34-10 halftime lead en route to the Region 5 win.

Colton Schiever and Nate Cully won their respective weight classes for Seneca Valley as the Raiders participated in the Altoona Del Grosso Foods Tournament over Christmas break.Seneca Valley finished third out of eight teams.Schiever was 4-0 with one pin and one technical fall.
