7:26 p.m. Oct. 5 — Mary Landgraf, 89, of Fenelton lost control of her car while turning left on Saint Joe Road about a quarter-mile east of Charlain Drive in Oakland Township. Her car struck a utility pole. Landgraf was cited for driving at unsafe speed.

8:35 p.m. Oct. 5 — Police say a 54-year-old unidentified woman used a hammer to strike three vehicles belonging to a victim. The woman first hit the windshield of one of the cars and then as she was leaving, she hit another two vehicles. The crime happened around 8:35 p.m. on Snake Road in Parker Township.

9:10 p.m. Oct. 5 — Police pulled over Martin Zuffranieri, 18, of East Amherst, N.Y., for driving with no headlights. In the course of stopping him, they found that he had a small amount of marijuana. The stop happened at the intersection of New Castle Road and Conway Drive. Charges are pending.

9:49 a.m. Oct. 6 — Samantha Manning-Steele, 21, of Butler lost control of her Hyundai Elantra on a bend in the road on Route 365, according to police. Her car went off the road barreling through a flag, a sign and a tree. The accident left her car disabled. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

12:45 p.m. Oct. 7 — Police reported they found Daniel Papst of Evans City in possession of drugs and paraphernalia on the 500 block of Upper Harmony Road.

3:52 p.m. Oct. 8 — A car driven by Martin Juarez Vasquez, 40, of Hyattsville turned left from Route 422 onto Dick Road and collided with a car driven by Timothy Haniwalt, 40, of Butler at a stop sign. Haniwalt was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

8:24 p.m. Oct. 9 — Florence Frazier, 43, of New Castle was taken to Allegheny General Hospital by Harmony Emergency Services for possible injuries from a car accident. She was driving north on Interstate 79 when her car drifted onto the west-side shoulder around 8:24 a.m. She tried to steer off the shoulder to regain control but the car instead flipped, rolling until it finally stopped, police said.

Oct. 9 — An octogenarian was accused of harassment in Jefferson Township. Police said a 69-year-old woman from Sarver accused Emannuel Lazarcik, 80, also of Sarver, of pushing her.

5:55 a.m. Oct. 10 — Police say that during a traffic stop they found Clint Wynkoop, 38, of Kittanning was under the influence of a controlled substance. Charges are pending the man’s laboratory results.

12:31 p.m. Sept. 16 — Police charged Mark Musser, 40, of Butler with driving drunk after an accident Sept. 16 on Route 8 in Bon Aire. Driving north, Musser turned left onto Fairfield Lane but didn’t yield to a car going in the opposite direction, police said. The two collided in what police called a “minor accident.” Musser and the driver of the other vehicle then turned into a nearby gas station parking lot. Musser got out of his car and began pacing around the other car and banging on the window and cursing. Along with driving under the influence, Musser is charged with careless driving, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

9:53 p.m. Sept. 14 — Police report that Rodrichard Walker, 49, of Butler failed to stop at a red light on Center Avenue and rear-ended a vehicle driven by Maria Bocian, 40, of Butler. Police say that Walker was driving drunk and is being charged with DUI and careless driving. The hit to Bocian’s vehicle pushed it into another vehicle, driven by Roy Funk, 65, of Butler.

Two passengers in Funk’s vehicle, Hazel Funk, 96, of Cabot and Marsha Funk, 59, of California suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment. All three vehicles received moderate or severe damage and were towed away.
