Scott Booth scored 29 points and Logan Mortimer had a triple-double as the Union boys basketball team won a shootout over Venango Catholic, 95-75, Saturday afternoon.

Mortimer scored 21 points and added 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the Golden Knights, who scored 48 points in the first half and had 76 through three quarters.

Brody Pollock added 16 points for Union (10-4, 8-1), which will travel to A-C Valley for a big Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference clash today.

The Butler wrestling team went 5-0 at the Chartiers Valley Duals to win the title Saturday.Butler downed Carlington (69-8), Freedom (67-3) and Norwin (39-28) in its pool before toppling Upper St. Clair 52-23 in the seminfinals.In the finals, the Golden Tornado downed Albert Gallatin 60-15.Cole Baxter went 5-0 with four pins at 171 pounds and 145-pounder Mike Crawford was also undefeated in five matches.Baxter's five wins give him a school-record 104 in his career — the third Butler wrestler to top the century mark in victories.Butler coach Scott Stoner also reached a milestone, surpassing 200 coaching victories.
