The A-C Valley football team was halfway through ending its 40-game losing streak Friday night.

But the Falcons couldn't stop Zac Kemmer.

The Clarion-Limestone receiver caught seven passes for 174 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Lions posted a 32-19 victory.

"He just killed us in the second half," A-C Valley coach Chris McNany said.

The Falcons had a 19-13 lead at halftime after Lee Russell scored on a 1-yard run, Jared Uncapher on an 11-yard pass from Kasey McNany and Cole Hardick on a 1-yard run.

McNany threw for 118 yards and Alex Ford had 12 carries for 81 yards to pace the A-C Valley offense.

"Our kids just aren't used to being in football games late. We used to get mercy-ruled every week," Coach McNany said. "We showed a lot of heart tonight.

"For the first time since I've been here, we didn't lay down in the second half. We fought to the end. We got tackled at their 1-yard line to end the game."

Hunter Ferris paced the Falcons defensively with four solo tackles and two sacks. Jimmy Holton recovered two fumbles and Uncapher intercepted a pass.

Redbank Valley 19, Union 16 — Caleb Delp rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown for the Bulldogs, who survived a deadly Union passing combination.Golden Knights quarterback Trent Corle hooked up with Taylor Smith five times for 150 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown pass.Corle scored Union's other touchdown on a 1-yard run.

Ryan Mershimer scored a goal to help lead Seneca Valley to a 2-0 win over Norwin at the Chartiers Valley Kickoff Tournament.The Raiders were scheduled to play in the championship game Saturday.
