The Knoch boys soccer team clinched second place in the section and a WPIAL playoff spot with a 1-0 overtime win over Shady Side Academy Thursday.

With 20 seconds remaining in overtime, Knoch scored on an own goal by Shady Side.

Andy Fritz had six saves for the Knights (12-3-1, 10-3).

The Slippery Rock defense and goalkeeper Jordan Marks recorded their eighth shutout of the season in a 7-0 win over Kennedy Catholic.Anna Cessar scored twice for the Rockets (11-1-2).
