Falcons lose 46th in a row

Alex Ford scored on a 6-yard run in the second quarter, but A-C Valley still dropped its 46th consecutive high school football game Friday night.

Clarion scored three touchdowns in the first quarter and rolled to a 52-7 victory.

Cole Hardick paced the Falcons (0-6) with 41 yards rushing. Kasey McNany passed for 54 yards, but was intercepted six times.

Sophomore Jimmy Holton paced the A-C Valley defense with nine solo tackles and three assists. McNany also caught an interception for the Falcons.

Burrell 35, Summit Academy 16 — The teams scored three touchdowns in the final 36 seconds of a bizarre third quarter.Burrell's David Yakopec scored on an 18-yard run with 36 seconds left in the period before Summit's Onyx Robinson broke free for a 74-yard touchdown run with 13 seconds left. Yakopec returned the kickoff 87 yards for a score.Chris Highsmith also scored on a 1-yard run for the Knights' (3-4, 1-3).

<B>Mars 5, Kittanning 1 — </B>Josh Brake, Luke Sowers, Nick Martinelli, Jesse Perfett and Michael Derouin scored for the Planets Thursday.
