Tricia Kerlin had 15 kills and 10 service points Tuesday in helping A-C Valley post a 3-0 District 9 girls volleyball playoff win over North Clarion.

Game scores were 25-14, 25-22, 25-22.

The victory was the 12th in a row for the Falcons (12-2), who host the Johnsonburg-Cranberry winner Thursday.

Emily Quaill had 20 assists for A-C Valley while Meredith Snyder contributed 15 points, 10 assists, two blocks and a kill. Meghan Cratty had six service points and three aces.

Kelsey Boocks had seven service points, seven kills and four blocks in the win.

Karns City's Lacey Scheerbaum qualified for Saturday's PIAA Championships by placing 10th in last weekend's District 9 meet.Scheerbaum completed the district race in 21 minutes, 40 seconds to grab the final individual state qualifying spot.

Jake Tomasovic scored twice and Tanner Gilliland once, but Butler fell to North Allegheny 7-3.Robbie Barnhart had two assists while Cody Bachman, Jake Whann and Tyler Hensel each contributed one.Mike Arturo made 28 saves for the Golden Tornado (0-3).<B>Central Catholic 6, Seneca Valley 2 —</B> No details were available
