Big performances from Julia Baxter and Alyssa DiPippa helped the Butler girls basketball team win its third straight game against Shady Side Academy Saturday in Fox Chapel.

Baxter scored 20 points and DiPippa had 13 for the Golden Tornado (6-2). Butler led 32-20 at halftime.

Hopewell 43, Seneca Valley 32 — The Vikings used a 19-point second quarter to pull away from the Raiders (4-6) in a non-section game at Hopewell.

Melissa Carter led Seneca Valley with 13 points. The Raiders trailed 24-11 at halftime. No other details from this game were available.

Postponed— Mars girls basketball team’s game against Mohawk scheduled for Saturday was moved back to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28.
