Knights close on title
The Union boys basketball team moved one step closer to the KSAC South title with a 67-49 win over visiting Karns City Wednesday.
Brody Pollock led the charge with 23 points, seven rebounds and six steals.
Ethan Williams paced the Gremlins (5-16, 2-7) with 23 points, including six 3-pointers.
Union (16-5, 8-1) will clinch a spot in Saturday's KSAC title game with a win over Redbank Valley tonight.

Both Butler teams finished the regular season with 10-0 records after the girls beat Karns City, 7-0, while the Golden Tornado boys topped the Gremlins, 5-2.Autumn Hepler led the Butler girls with a 628 series, including a 246 game, and Kelly Bintrim had a 562 series that featured a 219 game.Nikki Ferris had a 181 for the Gremlins.Nick Cooter's 603 series paced the Tornado boys, while Sam Weston (580 series) and Brandt Fleming (575 series) also fared well.Karns City's Aaron Weckerly had a 596 series.The Butler boys head to the White Oak Bowl Wednesday for the playoffs while the girls tournament will be held at Family Bowlaway in Butler next Thursday.
