Butler High's Evan Gomez won the boys' 1,600-meter run at the Baldwin Invitational on Friday with a time of four minutes, 21 seconds.

He also set a new school record in the 3,200 run with a third-place time of 9:17.09.

The Golden Tornado's 4x400 relay squad of Darius Hightower, Corbin Seezox, Cole Baxter and Jake Alston placed fifth at 3:32.
