Heather Straynick recorded 12 kills and Mackenzie Huey 10 aces to power the Butler girls volleyball team to a 25-16, 25-12, 25-10 victory over section foe North Hills Tuesday.
Butler (4-3, 3-3) will play at 4 p.m. Thursday at North Allegheny.
Knoch 3, Ambridge 2 — Stephanie Gross offered up 40 assists and 13 service points for the Knights (8-3, 5-1).Celina Sanks added 18 kills and eight blocks and Alison Rykaczewski 11 kills and six blocks for Knoch, which claimed victory by scores of 25-22, 25-16, 15-25, 23-25 and 15-13.

Keystone 3, Karns City 2 — Ally Olkowski had nine kills, nine service points and five blocks and Heather Henry 14 kills and five blocks for the Gremlins, but the Panthers rallied for the 26-28, 25-20, 17-25, 25-21, 15-7 KSAC victory.Erin Wiles added 14 digs and five points for Karns City (5-3), which hosts Clarion Tuesday.
