Alex Alvarez scored a team-high 34 points and added 10 rebounds as the Butler County Community College men’s basketball team erased a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat Grove City College’s junior varsity team 77-64 Monday night.

Dom Pusateri added 11 points, seven assists and six steals for the Pioneers (2-5).

Women’s Basketball

Ashley Brehm led BC3 with 13 points and had six steals, but the Pioneers fell to Penn State-DuBois 83-48.

Lauren Bresnahan added 10 points and 11 rebounds, Miranda Williams 10 points and three blocks and Angela Cress nine points for the Pioneers (0-8).
