Butler residents Kelly Scott and Benjamin Oesterling were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at Slippery Rock Baptist Church in Slippery Rock. The Rev. David Barnhouse officiated. A reception followed at Highfield Hall.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Kimberly Scott of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Gordon and Nancy Oesterling, also of Butler.

The honor attendant was Alisha Kunselman of Harrisville. Bridesmaids included Courtney Smead, Erica Oesterling, Katelyn Oesterling and Stacy Scott, all of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Isaac Henricks of Slippery Rock. Ushers included Matt Scott of Butler and Joe Miller of Fonda, N.Y.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Butler High School and a 2005 graduate of the nursing program at Butler County Community College. She works at Harmarville Rehabilitation Hospital in Harmarville.

The bridegroom was home schooled, graduating in 2003. He works for Contemporary Foundations in Butler.

Following a honeymoon trip to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, the couple is making their home in Butler.
