Financially strapped Butler could use more people to step forward like Bob and Lee Garrard of West Penn Street have done.

The Garrards have donated $500 to the city police - money that will help pay for a new surveillance recording system for the eight cameras that are inside and outside the Public Safety Building at North Washington and West New Castle streets.

The new system will record all eight cameras at the same, unlike the current recording system, which has the capability to record only one camera at a time.

Bob Garrard owns Wise Machine at 244 S. Cliff St. and Lee Garrard owns Lee's School of Dance at 122 W. Penn St.
