Bovard, Confer

Clintonville residents Nicole Bovard and Bradley Confer were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Concord Presbyterian Church in Hooker. The Rev. Robert Mathias officiated. A reception followed at Epiphany Social Hall.

The bride is the daughter of William and Theresa Bovard of Harrisville. Parents of the bridegroom are Bruce and Susan Confer of Petrolia and Cathy Ritter of O'Fallon, Mo.

The honor attendant was Amber Flick of Karns City. Bridesmaids included Brianna Bovard and Jackie Thompson, both of Harrisville; Jessica Steele of Butler; Erin Claypoole of Seven Fields; and Danielle Kelly of Chicora. Flower girls were Sarah Confer of Petrolia and Ashton Fry of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Mark File of Petrolia. Ushers included Jim Anderson, Jesse Mourer and Ricky Stroup of Chicora; Adam Orf of Wentzville, Mo.; and Steve Hiles of Petrolia.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Moniteau High School and a 2004 graduate of the nursing program at Butler County Community College. She works as a registered nurse at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

The bridegroom graduated in 2001 from Karns City High School and in 2003 from Penn State University. He works for Penn United Technology in Cabot.

The couple is making their home in Clintonville.
