Mohn, Bowen

Angela Mohn of Karns City and Brian Bowen of Newport News, Va., were united in marriage at Sept. 28, 2004, at the Monterey Chapel in Monterey Calif. A second ceremony among family and friends was held at 3 p.m. Aug. 27 at Smithfield United Church of Christ in Pittsburgh. The groom's grandfather, the Rev. Ray Jennings officiated. A reception followed at the Doubletree Hotel in Pittsburgh.

The bride is the daughter of Jay and Denise Mohn of Karns City. Parents of the bridegroom are Bill Bowen of Poquoson, Va., and Grace Jones of Carrollton, Va.

The maid of honor was Nicole Nolan of Port Allegany. Bridesmaids included Elizabeth Weber of Chicora and Chelsea Abbott of Port Allegany. The junior bride was the groom's sister, Brielyn Bowen of Poquoson. The flower girl was the groom's sister, Mariah Jones of Carrollton.

Serving the bridegroom as best man was Colin Kolb of Gap. Ushers included Chris Roudebush of Atlanta and Sam Jennings of Carrollton. The groom's brother, Kenny Jones of Carrollton, served as the junior groom and ring bearer.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Karns City High School; a 2004 graduate of Thiel College, where she received a bachelor's degree; and a 2005 graduate of the Monterey Institute of International Studies, where she received a master's degree in international management. She is employed at JNL Futures in McLean, Va.

The bridegroom graduated in 2002 from Menchville High School. He is currently studying systems engineering at the Microsoft IT Academy. A member of the Marine Corps, he is stationed in Quantico, Va.

Following a honeymoon trip to Acapulco, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Alexandria, Va.
