Knoch bowlers reach playoffs
It did not take the Knoch boys bowling team long to find its own lane to success.
After placing third in its section as a first-year WPIBL program last season, the Knights clinched second place and a playoff berth Wednesday by defeating Butler 5-2 at Family Bowlaway.

Knoch (8-2) also received strong single games from Joel Zacherl (223), Bill Patrick (211) and Brett Miner (210).
“I did have high expectations for us because we had a year of experience under our belt,” said Knoch coach Tyler Hawk. “We're all pretty excited right now.”
It was the first loss of the season for Butler (9-1), which finished the regular season as section champions.
The Golden Tornado were led Wednesday by Jacob Cookson (223) and Brandt Fleming (204).
In the girls' match, Butler's Nicole Balk (535 series) and Heather Paul (534) paced the Tornado (10-0) to a 7-0 win.
