Butler County Community College finished second in the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Tournament Saturday at Westmoreland Community College.

The second-seeded Pioneers (19-2) defeated Westmoreland 25-13, 25-7, 25-9 before bowing to top-seeded Potomac State 26-28, 16-25, 20-25.

Butler graduate Danielle Lloyd, Slippery Rock grad Jessica Prelec and Samantha Sharpless of Linesville were all-conference selections. Lloyd, the team’s libero, and middle hitter Sharpless made the all-state team as well.

Prelec is BC3’s setter.

The Pioneers travel to Jamestown Community College for a 7 p.m. match Wednesday.
