Moniteau baseball clobbers C-L, 13-3

Mars tennis sweeps doubles to edge Knoch

Josh McBride singled twice and drove in four runs as Moniteau's baseball team clobbered Clarion-Limestone 13-3 in five innings Monday at Pullman Park.

Colton Cumberland struck out seven in four innings to earn the win on the mound.

Elsewhere:

• Nick Comport allowed just one run on three hits while striking out 11 in a complete game as Mars defeated Kittanning, 8-1.

• Mac Megahan not only picked up the win on the mound, he singled twice, tripled and collected three RBIs as Knoch beat Valley 12-3.

• Union's Kane McCall struck out nine and allowed just one run on four hits in a complete-game performance in a 3-1 win over Cranberry.

Kaden McGregor belted a three-run home run in the top of the first inning to account for all of the Golden Knights' runs.

• Brian Murone and Gavin Herald each had two hits, but Grove City fell to General McLane, 5-4.

Ben Lucas picked up the loss, striking out four and walking just one in five innings of work.

Boys LacrosseJunior Tanner Kotch scored four goals and senior Cody Bachman two goals and one assist, but Butler fell to visiting Upper St. Clair 13-6.Chandler Harvey added an assist and won 90 percent of his faceoffs for the Golden Tornado (8-4).
