Rear-end collision sends 3 to hospital
Three people were hospitalized after a rear-end collision Monday night in Buffalo Township.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the area of South Pike Road at Harbison Road, where one vehicle had rear-ended another, according to firefighters who were at the scene.
Firefighters said three people were taken to the hospital, all by ambulance.
Their conditions and the severity of their injuries is unknown. The ages and identities of those involved in the crash were not released.
Buffalo Township Police were at the scene investigating the crash.
An incident report was not immediately available Tuesday.
After the patients were removed from the scene, firefighters continued to direct traffic until the vehicles and debris were cleared.
Traffic on South Pike Road was closed in both directions for about 45 minutes.
