Audra Hunter and Olivia Sharbaugh each scored a pair of goals as the Knoch girls soccer team opened up the 2012 season with a 4-3 win over Burrell.
Karns City 8, Slippery Rock 1 — The Gremlins (2-0) received four goals from Breann Wood and two from Caterina LoPresti.
Mariah Helch and Aubrie Ball both scored once, Emily LoPresti had three assists and Morgan Deal earned the win in net.
Charlene Doerr scored Slippery Rock's lone goal.
Mars' Chris Georgiadis (17 minutes, 29 seconds) placed first overall as the Planets rolled to a 22-36 win over North Hills.
